Krauthammer on Wikileaks

December 3, 2010

Pretty much along my line of thinking.

If Julian Assange doesn’t have much to fear from this administration, then who does.

The reason this administration didn’t react earlier to this is the same reason our Secretary of State couched the damage done in terms of the “International Community” rather than “American Interests.” When I heard her say it, I cringed, as apparently, did Krauthammer and probably several million other thinking Americans.

The people in charge of this country are post-American. They think people (like me) who think in terms of “interests” are retrograde.

And I still assert when it comes to foreign policy our President is very much motivated by the belief that the country he leads is the problem. This makes him an unlikely advocate for its interests.
